CBSF Leadership Team
2018-19 Leadership Team
Victoria is the president of CBSF. She is a senior applied math major with a penchant for stress baking instead of studying. She’s also been known to laugh at her own jokes before getting to the punchline.
Emma is the Vice President of CBSF. She is a senior Environmental Studies major with minors in Spanish and Information Systems. A true coffee addict, Emma can most likely be found with a mug in her hand and a smile on her face while hanging out with her 2 pet guinea pigs, S’mores and Minnie.
Hannah is the Service Leader for CBSF. She is a UNC Junior, linguistics major who loves watching YouTube, cooking to destress and finding new music.
Kate is the Program Leader for CBSF. Born and raised in Raleigh, she is a sophomore, statistics major who loves watching Star Trek, swimming at the beach, and listening and singing to music.
Michael serves as the CBSF Campus Ministry Intern. He is entering his second year at Campbell University Divinity School, pursuing a Master of Divinity. He graduated in May 2016 from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelors in Psychology.
He enjoys hiking, golfing, and hammocking. He also spends entirely too much watching and following soccer, but will unashamedly continue to do it.
He has a passion for working through this messy life with college students, in hopes to see how our own stories are part of God's story as well. He desires to engage students of all backgrounds and places of life, finding the common threads between each of us.
Rev. Lawrence Powers
CBFNC Triangle Area Campus Minister (Raleigh Area, UNC Chapel Hill, Duke) | firstname.lastname@example.org
Lawrence serves as the CBSF Campus Minister for the Raleigh Area, UNC-Chapel Hill and as the Co-Campus Minister at Duke University. Lawrence graduated from Campbell University in 2009 with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Philosophy and from the Campbell University Divinity School in 2013 with his Master of Divinity degree.
Lawrence loves working with students and journeying alongside them as they move through their college years. His philosophy is that every person should be given the space and ability to claim their own faith identity and wrestle with the calling that God has placed on their lives. This is the identity behind CBSF's events in Raleigh, Chapel Hill and at Duke.
Lawrence is married to Heather, a Certified Athletic Trainer who works in Chapel Hill and together they have two dogs: Maggie, a corgii/snauzer mix, and Widget, a Jack Russell Terrier mix. They are also licensed foster parents and are working toward adopting from the foster care system!
